Lexington Startup Weekend is complete. There was coding, there was engineering design work, there were secret handshakes, and there were double stuffers.

Six ideas were presented on Sunday night. Each made significant progress from Friday night with some even launching full out version of their service. Videos of each presentation and a complete recap will be published in the next few days.

Guest speaker Ken Sagan of Stites and Harbison joined the Startup Weekend Lexington teams during dinner to talk about the legal aspects of your startup. He touched on the topics of legal entities, intellectual property, and investment deals.

Teams moving forward

It’s Saturday afternoon and the Lexington teams are moving forward. Suffering only one casualty so far (Heated Keyboards folded after finding out about a lot of competition) six teams are hard at work at Awesome Inc.

Startup Weekend Lex off to a strong start

Friday night featured pizza from Mad Mushroom and a presentation from Uvestor’s John Williamson, a success story from last year’s Startup Weekend. After about an hour and a half of bouncing around ideas, a list of 14 was narrowed down to 5. Add to that 2 rogue ideas and Lexington launched the 7 projects shown below:

Digital Daddy – a brand for role model Dad’s that will include content such as videos, audio podcasts, and more
Wedding Memories – a smart phone wedding photography system that turns your wedding guests into your photographers.

Local Resource Finder – a website that will provide city newcomers or visitors with a plethora of information on local restaurants, shops, bars, and more. User reviews and user driven content included.
Heated keyboard – Don’t worry about your hands getting cold in the office anymore. Keep them on these fancy keyboards to keep them warm.
Uvestor Ambassador – Viral campaign creation for Uvestor.

Better Capper – A more efficient tool for bottling your home brewed beer.
Hole Punch Man Card – Do something unmanly, get your man card punched. By the end of the weekend you should be able to order your personalized man card online.
